NYSED-Approved CTE Programs/Technical Endorsement

NYSED-approved CTE programs have gone through a rigorous initial approval process, and they must get reapproved every five years.

Students in NYSED-approved programs are eligible to receive a technical endorsement on their high school diploma provided they meet the criteria.

Technical Endorsement Criteria:

• Complete the graduation requirements for any diploma type (Local, Regents, or Regents with advanced designation)
   
• Complete a NYSED-Approved Career and Technical Education (CTE) program
  • Complete an Employability Profile
  • Complete work experience opportunity
     
• Pass each part of a three-part technical assessment associated with the specific CTE program
